Each one should take you no more than an hour a week and they are sure to help with your business growth goals.
Let's get stuck into how to grow your business in 2019...
If you work in the B2B space then you absolutely cannot ignore this platform. Since Microsoft took over, LinkedIn has been on the up and up.
We all know about the traditional ways to network. Yes, the time consuming way. But did you know about the new type of digital networking?
People are using LinkedIn more and more to grow their networks without having to spend time out of the office. That means that there is an opportunity here to capitalise on this growing trend.
Instead of spending a whole afternoon out of the office at a networking event, try spending one hour on LinkedIn.
Search for people who are in your connections' networks and invite them to connect with you. Since you already have a friend in common, they are more likely to accept your invitation.
To increase your chances, spend a couple minutes writing a personalised message to them. You will soon find your network growing.
Then all you have to do is optimise your profile to promote your business and post regularly and you will start to see LinkedIn driving traffic to your website.
If you want a more details on how to do this, read this blog post I wrote on Driving Traffic To Your Website With LinkedIn.
Instagram is one of the fastest growing social networks with over 1 Billion active users as of June of 2018. That's Billion with a B.
The best thing about Instagram is that with a little time and consistency, you can build a pretty hefty following. Just follow these three simple steps and you will see your Instagram reach grow.
Follow people who might be interested in your business. You can do this by searching for a relevant hashtag then following the people who post with that hashtag.
Or, you can check out your competitors followers and follow them. You will see that approx 30% of these people will follow you back.
The daily follow limit is around 700 people and Instagram only lets you follow 7,000 people in total.
If you find yourself following too many, download an app like Followers that allows you to see and unfollow people who aren't following you back.
Post at least once a day. This will help keep your growing audience engaged and get your content in front of even more people.
Check out what your competitors are posting to get an idea of what content works. You can also search using relevant hashtags to see the most popular content containing that hashtag.
Use relevant hashtags. Download a hashtag app like Hashtagger on your phone and use it to find the most popular hashtags that are relevant to your business.
You can use 30 hashtags per post and I recommend using all of them as each hashtag puts your content in front of people searching for that hashtag.

There was a lot of negative talk about Twitter in 2018. The fact is that they still have an active user base of 336 Million people.
That's no small number. And with a little focus, you can grow your Twitter followers in a similar way as I talked about for your Instagram followers.
But make sure you read the Twitter guidelines first as they have some stricter rules when it comes to the number of accounts you can follow.
If you are starting from scratch, follow just 20 accounts a day and gradually increase this as more people start to follow you back. Simply use relevant hashtags to search for potential followers.
How to Grow Your Business With Email
Email is still one of the most effective ways to gain new customers.
If you have an email list, you should definitely use it. There are likely some people in there that need your products or services.
Start by providing some form of value. People need to know that opening your emails is something they will benefit from.
If you blog, you can send them your latest post or a collection of your latest posts. If you are in eCommerce, you can try creating a sale offer.
Once you start sending emails, don't stop. You want to be turning up in people's inboxes on a regular basis. By doing this you will become an authority to your email list and they will engage with you more and more.
Plus, consistency is a key driver of sales. The more people see you, the more they will believe in your business's solutions.
We all know that Facebook is a beast when it comes to the number of users. Did you know about the Facebook groups feature?
To clarify, these are not pages. They require you to join them and the Group admin can choose to accept you (and also remove you).
The reason why these are so great is that there are millions of them in all different niches. Just go ahead and type your niche into the Facebook search bar and select Groups.
Each Group is different and will have a set of rules created by the Group owner. Many Groups will allow you to post marketing messages directly on the Group's timeline.
Considering some of these Groups have millions of members, your message is likely to get in front of some very relevant people.
Go ahead and try joining some Groups and posting to them. See what happens. Make sure you check the Group guidelines before posting.
Google Ads (formally Google AdWords) has undergone some changes over the past year.
Not only have they given it a sleek new interface but there is also improved functionality on the platform.
One of these is that you can now choose to optimise your campaign for conversions. This can be for a lead, phone call, or even sale.
Previously, you would focus on maximising the number of clicks your were receiving.
This change means it is now easier to succeed on Google Ads. Instead of having to worry about constantly adjusting your targeting, Google does a lot of the hard work for you.
I would still recommend reading more on how to use the platform before getting started. This guide from The PPC Machine will help.
If you have not done it yet, make 2019 the year that you embrace video.
The modern consumer wants to see video. So much so that including a video on your product page can increase conversions by 80%.
You don't need any fancy equipment either. You have everything you need on your phone.
If you are in the professional services space, video can help you better connect with your potential new customers.
Instead of reading about your business, you can tell them about it. This way builds a more intimate connection with your audience which will lead to a greater conversion rate.
2019 Is Your Year!
If you are looking for new marketing channels to grow your business in 2019, why not test one or two, or even all of these tactics?
They are simple ways to get your business in front of a larger audience. It shouldn't even take you too much time to try them out.
